Another simple problem is: Passwords change...and of course, gawd knows how many different passwords we all have for the various devices, software, operating systems, or internet accounts we have. I think the best solution is put all the personal information onto a flash drive with password protection and store the flash drive in a safe deposit box or other physical repository.
The issue is an interesting dilemma as we move further into the paperless age...
