Presentation Summary:
RIM Best Practices For System Decommissioning -
Records and Information Management (RIM) is the discipline that enables an
organization to maintain evidence of the work that they perform and the
transactions that take place as a normal course of business. The task has
become both more important and more challenging in this electronic age, when
colleagues have so many different places in which to store and share
information and documentation of their work. This overview looks at the
best practices related to the decommissioning of systems, regardless of
industry. It will explore the risks, the benefits and how this discipline
can be applied to assess and improve your organization’s System Decommission
Program.
