Presentation Summary – Managing Digital Conversion Projects
This presentation will review best imaging practices and various
technologies used to accomplish document conversion goals.  Video clips and
photos will be shown from the Smithsonian Air and Space Museum and The
Gilder collection housed at the NYC Historical Society.  At these locations
IDI was instrumental in digitizing some of the most important documents in
the United States history.   We will also include a demonstration of how to
display and easily retrieve historical content on a web portal including a
number of intriguing experiences from IDI's 18 year history.

Speaker - Marty Tannenbaum President Innovative Document Imaging LLC (IDI)
Marty Tannenbaum has been an industry leader for image system sales and
digital conversions in the field of Records Management for the past
thirty-five years. Marty has served as president of the Garden State Chapter
of AIIM.  He graduated from Farleigh Dickinson University in 1975 with a BS
in marketing and has been associated with ARMA for the past 20 years.

Marty founded Innovative Document Imaging (IDI), LLC eighteen years ago and
IDI quickly became a leader in digital imaging conversions and system
solutions for pharmaceutical companies, publishers, government and
libraries.  IDI is headquartered in East Brunswick, NJ, and maintains remote
locations in the UK and Michigan.  IDI is honored and proud to have been
selected to digitize a copy of the Constitution, The original 13th Amendment
signed by Congress.  We have also digitized the original Emancipation
Proclamation as well as the History of Flight Collection for the Smithsonian
Institute.
