CGOC Executive Webcast: The Intersection of Information Privacy Rules
and Retention Rules
New California rules require companies to implement security procedures
to protect the information of their clients. For organizations with
broad customer bases, the new law effectively imposes a national
standard on how personal information is retained and managed. This new
law, the recent Delaware guidelines on discovery, and escalating
standards for information retention and preservation make effective
policy development a critical topic for corporate legal and compliance
executives.

Lisa Sotto, partner at Hunton & Williams and practice leader for their
Information Privacy and Retention Management Practice, will review the
rules and offer best practices that you can apply at your company. Lisa
will present examples and case studies for preparing privacy and
retention policies, procedures and notices for effective policy
management.
