Underground Vaults & Storage stores records in a salt mine in Hutchison
KS, and also in limestone bluffs in KC. I believe they have other
facilities also. I have not heard of any explosion suffered by UV&S, or
any other commercial records center.

I was told that , several years ago, there was an off-site storage (it
was
not Iron Mountain) vendor that had a storage facility somewhere in the
Midwest ( Kansas or thereabouts) that stored records for clients inside
of
a mountain.
Underneath the records ,natural gas had built up and ,eventually,
exploded, burning the client records.
Does anyone remember or recall this story?
