Summary: In an opinion made public on January 11, 2005, Magistrate Judge Heymann recommended entering a default judgment sanction against PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) for failing to timely produce documents from various versions of its work paper databases and repeated inaccurate representations to the court regarding its production of documents from its Lotus work paper databases. The Magistrate's recommended decision, which has been challenged by PwC, underscores the importance of counsel's independently verifying the location, versions, and features of electronic database information
