An article in the Oregonian about the governor's ties with various
consultants. Kind of much ado about nothing, but that's what makes this
interesting. Notice how routine the e-mail request and analysis appears,
to where the e-mail discovery (or lack thereof) is no longer the story.
Kudos to the governor's office for complying with the public records
request in what appears - at least in this article - to be a fairly
seamless fashion. Notice consultant Imeson's comment about how the
"relatively new technology of e-mail" has made his relationship with the
governor "public record". That's great - a good example of the public
records law doing what it should do.
