   Formulates training policies, programs, and schedules based on
knowledge of identified RIMS management requirements, company
processes, and business systems. Selects appropriate instructional
procedures or methods such as individual training, group instruction,
demonstrations, web-based and computer-based training. Organizes and
develops training manuals, reference library, multimedia visual aids,
and other records educational materials. Trains and mentors assigned
record program administrators, refinery trainers, and retail trainers
in effective techniques for communicating the records program. Develops
and conducts RIMS orientation training for all company new-hires.
Develops and implements projects related to RIMS training. Acts as
training advisor on RIMS/Information Services projects. Interprets and
communicates customer requirements to RIMS staff discovered during
training. Confers with Corporate LEAD training and company training
specialists to determine RIMS training objectives. Uses specialized
computer software to create course and deliver training information
across the company's Intranet. Develops, maintains and publishes FAQs
(frequently asked questions) regarding records program and procedures
on the company Intranet. Participates in meetings, seminars, and
training sessions to obtain information useful to RIMS training and
integrate information into training program. Works as team member with
Records Department Managers, Supervisors and staff and promotes team
building throughout the department and company. Collaborates with
Change Control specialist in managing cultural implications. Shows
commitment to Valero through supporting management and company
policies. Helps to foster good will. Understands ARMA Code of
Professional Responsibility. Undertakes other duties as demanded.

   Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum five years of training
experience and record management experience required. Excellent verbal
communication skills to include presentation/public speaking skills to
cross-functional, multi-level organizational audiences. Excellent
written skills to include ability to create training programs and
graphics for presentations and training models, reports, business
correspondence and procedure manuals. Experience in electronic records
management systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
(MS-Word, MS-Excel, MS-Power Point, MS-Exchange/Outlook). Must be a
good representative for Valero. Must be willing and able to travel
approximately 40% of the time.
