I am responsible for recording our quarterly board meetings via a early
'90s audio cassette recorder that weighs about 50+ pounds. I am looking
at a Soniclear product called "Govrecorder" that accepts a .wav file
from a bi-directional microphone via a UBS connection into a laptop.
Govcorder is software that allows the person recording to do various
things to the recording to make it useable both as a transcription tool
and as a record, I suppose. And, the software appears to be very
inexpensive. Sony has some sample recordings on their website from real
government meetings and they sounded better then the ones I can produce
using my audio 'tank'

IT and I are researching ways to efficiently electronically record our
Board meeting for transcribing to minutes. Right now it is recorded onto
a 90 minute cassette tape. Any suggestions?
