Should mail be a Records and Information Competency??
Should we teach mail room skills to records managers?

Do you think it should be in the body of knowledge for the CRM exam?

I worked for an organization where the Records department handled the
incoming and outgoing mail.  On the front end we opened, sorted, and
distributed the mail.
Certain forms received in the mail that were a part of a "workflow" were
scanned and indexed and sent to a Queue that automatically distributed
the forms to Analysts in other departments to be "worked".  On the back
end at the end of the day the records department metered outgoing daily
mail as well as large mail outs. In most organizations the Records
department wears many hats!!
