You're thinking of an archivist.  Records Managers like to deal with the
living and active (documents/file as well as people).

That way we can make sure stuff is in the right place very early on,
instead of trying to fix up someone else's mess.

(Sorry to all you archivists out there - I'm sure my comments have the
potential of being over-reacted to.  That's not what I mean.  Except in
jest.)
