7:15 to 8:15 Program

Workshop: "How to Become a CRM". Chapter member, Ember Krumwied, CRM, will provide basic information on qualifying and
applying for the CRM exam. She will give a description on what each of the tests cover and how to prepare for them.
There will be time after her presentation for questions.

Program: "Records Management is Our Future: Cooperation and Understanding from Both Sides of the Fence!" Bridging the
gap between Records and Information Technology continues to be a crucial part of the Grays Harbor Public Utility
District's thriving success. By maintaining a close working relationship and keeping the lines of communication open,
we have the opportunity to learn from each other. Tara Ramos will discuss the steps that the Grays Harbor PUD has taken
to arrive on the path they currently follow.

Speaker: Tara Ramos is the Records Specialist for the Public Utility District No. 1 of Grays Harbor. Hired in July
2004, Tara is responsible for the day-to-day workings of the district wide records management program. She is committed
to developing successful records management policies, guidelines, and retention schedules. The program success has been
made possible due to the support of upper management and the close working relationship with the Information Technology
Department. She looks forward to the challenges and accomplishments to come in the future. Before coming to work for
the Grays Harbor PUD, Tara worked for seven years at the Lewis County Auditor's office and two years at Twin County
Credit Union. Tara continues to work towards attaining her CRM and AIIM Electronic Records Management certifications.
