I am a librarian with a firm of environmental scientists that provides
environmental impact analyses for several federal agencies. I have been
given the task to handle the Administrative Record for these projects
(Administrative Record, to my knowledge, means that we must thoroughly
document every step of the project for public inspection because of the
Freedom of Information Act). I have done a little bit of research on
how to go about this, but I have not had much luck with practical,
working advice on the topic.

Do any of you know of a useful resource instructing me how to handle the
Administrative Record? A class would be preferred, but a step-by-step
website (i.e. something better than what I find by Googling
"Administrative Record") could at least give me a start. If you have
had experience with the Administrative Record, please steer me in the
right direction! My library background has left me a little unprepared
for the world of records management!
