I went to a party some years ago and when asked what I did for a living, I replied that I was a Records Manager.  The individual then asked me about some record (music) she has been trying to find, but was having a hard time locating it.  Let us just say I wasn't impressed but we did have a good chuckle!

p.s. she still didn't understand what my job was all about, even after I explained it (I could tell by the look on her face ha ha).  In the end I just looked at her and said, "yes I file for a living"!  I figure it wasn't worth explaining any longer!
