A quote from the article says that "Stored voicemails represent a new,
potentially negative consequence during legal discovery. Most large
companies do not save or archive voicemail. But converted to e-mail,
these messages are likely to be stored and be subject to discovery."

 

I guess this would apply only to companies who choose to use the service
on Blackberries they have allowed employees to use, but it presents
another type of record maybe with juicy tidbits of personal
conversations sprinkled in.
