I have used a similar phrasing in relation to project management but of
course it isn't mine - I stole, er, appropriated it from somewhere else.
The way I use it is as follows:
"Fast, cheap, and good - you get to pick two. If you want it fast & good, it
ain't gonna be cheap - and if you want it fast & cheap, it ain't gonna be
good."
There are millions of hits on Google for this notion - pick the one you like
the most. Some of them even have purty graphics - I have one I can send you
offline.
