Larry, I will recruit some of ARMA's best and brightest in Chicago to staff
our GARP crusade; volunteers must provide their own pom poms... We will
occupy Chicago..., and THIS movement does have a purpose. GARP to your
left; GARP to your right; put your GARP in and GARP it all about (think
hokey pokey)...; or Jimmy Buffet.
The rest of this is only somewhat related to RIM...
Getting in the mood for the ARMA conference and networking...; I gotta tell
you this Larry. You think you have public freak shows in the bay area...;
I have been there and seen some pretty good ones. However..., going back
thirteen or fourteen years, the last several years I was with Duke Energy
our Electronic Document Administration work group was housed on the 18th
floor of the Wachovia Center; downtown Charlotte, NC. I smoked then, as
did three other teammates; Diane Singleton (retired now); David Caldwell
(deceased now); NCARNG Major Stephen Maynor, who is still with Duke but not
doing RIM work. We would go downstairs several times a day to smoke.
About once a week a guy dressed in drag as a majorette would warm up on the
sidewalk of Tryon Street; and then march and prance up and down the
sidewalk in front of the building for about a half hour. He had the whole
outfit too; including boots with tassles. He would draw quite a good
crowd; and they/we dutifully cheered when he was done.
I hate paper ...; however I never met pom poms that did not have at least
some redeeming qualities.
Best regards, Steve
