Yeah, and part of the issue with some locations - Hawaii, Orlando, Anaheim,
and I'd have thought Vegas - is that they are perceived to be "junkets"
because of the variety of local attractions. This makes them cheaper and
more family-friendly, but there it is. It seems to be easier for some,
particularly government, to justify *more* expensive cities because they
are perceived to be more business-oriented: Boston, DC, SF, etc.
Never really understood that reasoning myself, but then I've also had
clients require $100 cab rides each way rather than $50 rental car days
because "we don't pay for rental cars". Meh.
