I don't ever go to a "real" bank. Every transaction is done on line/kiosk; withdrawals and deposits. There has to be a signature but it's not checked by the machine.
I've never seen signature validation at any retail store. They of course ask for a driver's license but that doesn't have a signature on it.
I guess the point that emerging is that it will become rarer for anyone to look at your signature for identity validation. Your face on the driver's license/credit card is a lot better than the hand scroll.
