Hello all,

I am part of a working group that would like to identify what type of documentation is necessary to maintain for digital asset management. We plan on making some recommendations, templates, and standards that could be used in DAM projects all over campus (so, in a highly decentralized environment), but especially by our libraries. Another way to look at it would be policies and procedures regarding the documentation of digital asset management projects. For example, "A department undertaking digital asset management must create and maintain a metadata schema." The metadata schema itself would be one piece of documentation

Is there anyone here on the list who has undertaken something similar and might be willing to share the kind of documentation you recommend/require of your organization? Feel free to contact me off-list.

Thanks!
