Hello everyone,

I'm one of the recruiters at Cadence Group.  This is my first email to the group.  Cadence Group, a certified woman-owned small business, is a user-centric records and information management company with over 25 years of experience in consulting and records and information management services.

I wanted to share the following job posting with all of you.

Records Analyst (Part-time)

Primary work Location:  D.C. Metro Area
3-4 month engagement
Part-time hours (with exception of travel weeks)
Some travel to 3 Regional offices required
Remote work with flexible schedule

Responsibilities:

*         Performing assessments of client records

*         Ensuring the records management program complies with NARA and GSA regulations

*         Analyzing records management problems and assisting with the design of  strategies to meet records management program needs

*         Managing records in print and electronic format; creating records management policies and procedures

*         Understanding file plans and retention schedules

*         Organizing and sorting records; categorizing records to ensure the appropriate disposition

*         Tracking records, scanning, organizing, and maintaining records according to the retention schedule

*         Assisting the Records Manager in conducting file inventories of both physical and electronic records in multiple locations

*         Organizing, analyzing, indexing, and abstracting record content; assigning metadata using a taxonomy

Requirements:

*         At least 4 years of experience in the field of Records Management, preferably supporting DoD records management (or other federal agency records management program)

*         Solid understanding of file plans, retention schedules, records disposition, transfer, and destruction, general maintenance of federal records, and records management best practices

*         Familiarity with National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) policies, practices, and regulations

*         Experience with records inventory or experience working in a records center

*         Experience with library, records, and/or document repositories and their indexing processes

*         Excellent data-entry, analytical and organizational skills

*         Extreme attention to detail; outstanding organizational skills with a focus on productivity

*         Strong time management and multitasking skills

*         Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) in Library Science, English, Journalism, or in a related discipline. Equivalent experience in place of degree is acceptable.
