Hi Linda,

Back in a prior RM life I helped to develop a "big bucket" approach to managing email in Outlook, that included automatically deleting email based on the time period of the buckets they fell into.  If you send me your email address I think I can find the presentation I did for the company I worked for at the time (I also did presentations on this at a couple of 10-minute Rapid fire sessions at previous ARMA conferences), and would be happy to send to you.

I was the Records Manager at a small company back then (<1k employees) and this approach worked very well. I think this approach would be very difficult at a large company (my current employer is >40k employees).
