ARMA International has appointed Ben Robbins of LinkedIn to its 2018-2019 board of directors. Robbins steps into the outside director role currently held by Mark Chardack, whose third and final term concludes in June. Robbins will join the full Board of Directors (BOD), along with the newly elected members of the 2018-2019 BOD, in Kansas City on March 15-16 for its annual strategic planning session. For more than 15 years, Robbins has been involved in all aspects of e-discovery, forensic investigations, and information risk program management. He has helped grow LinkedIn's information governance, e-discovery, and civil-forensic investigations program from the ground up, leveraging traditional best practices with a digital-first approach to content management and controls. Earlier, Robbins consulted for PwC’s forensic technology practice, where he focused on e-discovery operational improvement, forensic analysis, and risk governance to commercial and federal clients. ARMA’s BOD seats at least two non-member outside directors to offer an “outside” perspective to board discussions. These individuals are nominated and appointed by the BOD and serve a one-year term, with the possibility of up to two additional one-year reappointments, for a maximum of three years of service.
