Due to weather, the ARMA NOVA chapter meeting was rescheduled for
Wednesday, March 28, 2018. The presentation topic for this month's
meeting is:

Keeping Data Safe: The Need for Information Governance and Information
Security to Work Together

In an age of data leaks, breaches, and cybersecurity threats, it’s
increasingly critical to do all we can to protect the information we manage.
In this case study we will learn how the Information Governance and
Information Security teams at Grant Thornton LLP partnered to significantly
advance the firm’s data protect capabilities. Elizabeth Adkins, Director of
Information Governance will talk about how she and her colleague, Syed
Hussaini, Director of IT Risk and Compliance, developed expertise, policies,
processes, and technologies to significantly advance the firm’s ability to
safeguard the firm’s information as well as the information the firm
manages for clients, employees and other third parties.

Location:
Holliday Inn at Ballston
4610 Fairfax Drive
Arlington, VA 22203
