After the recent discussions of "stereotypes," I
wondered if anyone else noticed that Slashdot ("News
for Nerds.  Stuff that Matters.") carried a link to an
MIT Technology Review article on the U.S. NARA's
Electronic Records Archives this weekend.

Although I assume the comments posted on Slashdot are
from a predominantly IT-centric crowd (apologies for
the stereotype, there), they include some viewpoints
that records managers, archivists, librarians, and
others in our general "protect history, preserve ready
access to essential information, keep stuff/don't keep
stuff" neck of the woods might find sympathetic (or
abhorrent -- you decide).
