There are 3 VP, 3 AVP and 2 analyst position openings in the Records
Management Team in the Global Corporate Investment Banking (GCIB) at the
Bank of America in mid-town NYC. Each of the VP and AVP positions has a
unique emphasis (inactive records management, electronic records
management and records retention policy/RIM program infrastructure
respectively) although work experience will include diverse RM program
areas.

Position descriptions:



1. Assistant Records Management Program Director, GCIB

Corporate Title: Vice President.

3 Positions.



*       Develops, implements and continuously improves the Records
Management Program at Global Corporate Investment Banking within the
Bank of America. Program includes records in all media and business
units.
*       Collaborates with Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, IT and
others to reduce risk and enhance compliance.
*       Facilitates the development, approval and update of records
management policies, standards, procedures and process controls. Updates
retention and disposition schedules and other policies to ensure
compliance with regulatory (e.g., SEC, NASD, state securities
departments) and business retention and reporting requirements.
*       Ensures internal customer understanding of records management
best practices and effective, consistent and compliant records
management practice.
*       Facilitates the development, updating and administration of
filing systems, indices and records related nomenclature to ensure
consistency/effective practice.
*       Assists business units, Legal, Compliance and others to retrieve
records.
*       Ensures compliant records transfer to inactive storage locations
and records destruction according to retention schedules.
*       Facilitates communication and implementation of record
destruction halts and the quick retrieval of records needed for
discovery proceedings and regulatory audits.
*       Provides orientation, training and advice to business
lines/divisions/departments.
*       Specifies and communicates requirements for enabling technology
to support records management service delivery (records management and
document management software, web-based solutions).
*       Assists in records related software development implementation
and administration.
*       Audits program compliance.
*       Drafts processes and matrixes for program controls and
implementation.
*       Supervises staff and consultant work as needed.
*       Develops and works on diverse records management related
projects.
*       Reports to and supports the Records Management Program Director
and Team in all aspects of program development and implementation.



Qualifications:



7-10 years of experience in records management program development and
implementation including records in all media.

Familiarity with document management and records management software.

Strong analytical skills.

Ability to work effectively on teams.

Excellent communication, customer relationship and customer service
skills.

Familiarity with records management requirements in the investment
banking industry preferred.



BA in information management, library science, business administration
or equivalent.

CRM preferred



Position 1 Emphasis:



Records Management Team - Inactive Records Management (offsite records
storage). Supports RM Program Director. Day forward: develops,
administers and monitors GCIB inactive records transfer and retrieval.
Implements software solution to facilitate process. Advises and trains
business units/support partners. Retroactive: Updates
descriptions/retention requirements for current offsite records to
enable quick retrieval and appropriate dispostion. Works with Enterprise
and business units/support partners. Prioritizes efforts based on
criticality of functions/records.



Position 2 Emphasis:



Records Management Team - Electronic Records Management. Supports RM
Program Director. Enterprise Content Management system development and
continuous improvement to ensure records management compliance. Advises
and trains business units and support partners (e.g. re electronic
records management requirements, file structures, indices). Advises and
oversees use of electronic signatures. Interfaces with IT and vendors.
Monitors records disposition in electronic systems.



Position 3 Emphasis:



Records Management Team - Retention and Disposition/Records Management
Program Infrastructure. Supports Records Management Program Director.
Develops, updates, ensures implementation of
functional/departmental/GCIB electronic retention schedule
development/implementation. Advises on records holds and hold releases.
Trains business units and support partners.



2. Three Associate Vice Presidents supporting each of these areas (4 - 7
years experience).



3. Two analysts (2 - 7 years experience) will also be hired to support
all program areas (e.g., filing system development).
