I am working in the archives and records management field for a city in
Quebec, Canada. The police department usually sends its inactive records to
our records center which is located off-site. However, when police officers
need their records outside business hours, they either come to the records
center or call us in order to have our employees open the records center to
their personnel. I would be grateful to you for instructing me whether
there is any means allowing police officers to have access to their records
stored off-site without bothering our employees. I was told that electronic
records can solve this problem. However, I do not know how to proceed in
order not to waste money.

Thank you very much.
