The ICRM has a publication available to aid in preparing for the exams - "Preparing for the CRM Examination, A Handbook." The handbook includes sample questions for each exam part.

Subject: Re: [RM] ERM vs CRM professional certification

I apologize if this has been addressed before, but are there practice tests
available for the certifications ?

I have been consulting on Records Management for 8 years or more (my how
time flies), and have designed and implemented Records Management software
systems for numerous companies and government agencies, (from municipal to
federal), and developed file Plans for many of them.

I would be curious to see how close I could come to passing one of the exams
based upon my current knowledge and experience. (I realize that this could
be a very humbling experience, and have prepared myself for that
possibility).

Any links to such would be appreciated.

Brent Reid (without any alphabet soup behind my name - yet)

I would tend to agree that the CRM exam can always be improved upon.....
Fortunately, it is improved upon on a regular basis, with new questions
being added, old questions that no longer apply being dropped, etc. The
ICRM Board is very focused on ensuring that the exam is relevant to Records
and Information Managers, and to BOTH paper and electronic records.
