I would like to submit information to the listserve for a position at
Micron Technology, Inc. in Boise Idaho.  Boise was voted the best place
to live a couple of years ago and the best place to retire this year!!

Summary: 
The Corporate Records Manager assigns records retention according to
authorized retention schedules, ensures records are appraised for their
legal, fiscal, administrative, and historical value, and are properly
accessioned, stored, and retrieved as needed and provides deposition
testimony on behalf of Micron regarding corporate records policies. 

Responsibilities include managing off-site storage, overseeing the
performance of corporate-wide records education, training program, and
initiating personnel actions such as promotions, reassignments, salary
increases, appraisals, as required for staff management. This position
performs cost studies on suppliers, recommends replacements and/or
additional equipment for area operations for alternative methods of
managing documents, which includes information collection and
dissemination, technological developments, and other records
management-related activities.
 
This position is responsible for preparing and maintaining capital and
expense budgets for the area,  participating in audits, such as SOX and
ISO, as necessary to ensure proper compliance standards are maintained,
overseeing and maintaining databases to track various functions,
providing long-term vision to develop current and future goals, and
performing other duties as needed.

Qualifications: Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with
and influence others. The Corporate Records Manager will work regularly
with attorneys, compliance officers, risk managers and technology
professionals.  A bachelor's degree in Business Administration and five
years of related experience is required.
