 E-Forum 2007 Wednesday, August 1 9 a.m. to 12 noon Indianapolis,
Indiana  The National Archives and Records Administration - Daytonand
the Greater Indianapolis Chapter of ARMAinvite you to a wonderful FREE
informational presentation. Speakers will discuss NARA's soon to be
operational Electronic Records Archives (ERA) and the challenges of 
E-records, as well as strategies and vision for the ERA Program and an
update on the system's development. A related discussion will follow on
everyday file formats (Word, Excel, JPEG, etc.) and their suitability
for long-term preservation and reference.   There will also be a session
on the need for a greater understanding of information technology in
Federal, state, and municipal archives and a perceived future need for
"Information Technology Archivists." Rita Cacas of the Electronic
Records Archives Project Office and Gregory Lepore from the Center for
Electronic Records at NARA's College Park, Maryland facility will be the
featured speakers. E-Forum's Location: Rolls Royce Training Center -
