I would consider it unethical if my new vendor did not receive a
box/tape/cartridge from my old vendor that I expected to be transferred, and I
was not notified. I would expect, at the least, the new vendor to let me know
they had not received something on the inventory list I have provided as part
of the contract transfer. It would then be up to me, the customer, to work
with the old vendor to locate the missing item - and to negotiate fee revisions
if it is not found.
