Hi, Megan,
A long, long time ago (early 1990's), American Honda Motor Co., Inc. went
from a fiscal year ending June 30 to one ending March 30.  I believe one
year closed June 30, and the next year closed March 30 with only from July
1 to March 30 in it.  Be sure you keep documentation from above on the
change, and document the change in policy at your level.
