I was in a meeting a couple of weeks ago between several people on our staff (Miss. Dept. of Archives & History) and representatives from the Genealogical Society of Utah. GSU has been microfilming older county records across our state for several years and wanted to also copy some in-house records by scanning.
During the meeting there was a discussion over how long microfilm will be available to even purchase. I didn't know enough to get involved in that. Is this really an issue?
