Folks launching the recall command does not work outside of your network
environment. Think of it this way, once you put a physical letter in a
mailbox it is under the control of the US Postal Service. Nothing you do can
stop that letter from getting delivered. The same thing happens with email
once you launch/send an email to the internet there is nothing that can be
done to stop it from being delivered.

So what should you do? Check the 'To' line of your message to make sure it
contains the correct email address. If you are replying privately to an
individual's listserv post you must copy and paste that individual's email
address into the 'To' line and delete out the listerv address. you should
also consider putting the phrase "private response" into your subject line
so that the individual will know that it is not from the list.
