Hello,

I'm the Records Administrator & Archivist for the City of Alexandria, VA,
and normally would not do this, but we're getting desperate for Commission
members.

The Public Records Advisory Commission is a seven-member advisory body made
up of Alexandria citizens with experience or who are interested in records
management, archives management, public records, and history.

The City of Alexandria website currently lists one vacancy for the
Commission, but shortly, there will be two more.  The Commission meets the
third Thursday of January - June and Sept.-November.  Meetings are
generally one hour so the commitment is small.

If there are any listserv members who reside in Alexandria and have an
interest, or know of any interested individuals, please contact me.  It's
so hard to get people interested in public records, particularly in
Alexandria, where land use issues generate the most fervor.
