Hi, Lijuan Yu,

American Honda Motor Company, Inc.'s policy is to have the using
departments document the destruction of transitory records, specifically
records whose life is spent entirely in the department, copies, and those
little notes that are useless once the matter is taken care of, also
e-mails and other electronic records used for the same purposes. The forms
are kept for the longest retention (permanent). They are described on the
form. They show compliance with the destruction policy and who did it.

I would keep the older certifications, and implement a new one going
forward that lists the records and dates. What's done is done, but keep
the proof of the action. It's not required by law, but is a matter of
company policy. Before going ahead and destroying the certificates, make
sure you get their retention in company policy.
