I'm not, but if I get half a glimmer of a chance I will, like a shot! RFID
has got to be the way to go. I looked into it in detail about 5 years ago,
and at the time the costs here in Oz were pretty daunting (eg $1+ / label vs
2.5 cents for a barcode one) so it got put on hold. Don't know what the
costs would be today, especially with what your economy is doing to the rest
of us right now.
I don't recall the names of all three firms we approached, but I do remember
3M were the most responsive. Could be worth checking on a few library
listservs etc, I've read that some big libraries down there have swapped to
RFID.
