Jesse: I would say that Microsoft has Sharepoint (or at least they see it
as an ECM), and SAP has IXOS. Near as I know, only Sun doesn't have
anything.

Subject: [RM] HP to acquire Tower Software
In case you hadn't seen this, HP has agreed to acquire Tower Software for
undisclosed terms. This leaves three major standalone ECM vendors:
Open Text
Vignette
Interwoven
And three major infrastructure players lacking a major ECM play:
Microsoft
Sun
SAP
Other possible suitors might include CA, Dell, Autonomy, or Symantec.
It will be interesting to see how this shakes out with the other players
over the next 12-18 months.
