I attended the AIIM "Sharepoint Effect" day-long seminar yesterday in Houston and there were a number of interesting presentations. From one of the sessions, here's an interesting tidbit: PWCooper states that the average document is photocopied 9 times.
SO! As the RIMgr, I would ask myself, do I *really* want to manage 9 times the amount of documentation I should, simply because it's included in the policy? I think it's worth reminding the approval board that a RIM policy is sacred to opposing counsel during discovery. You must uphold what's stated therein...
I would not recognize copies as legitimate. That pushes the emphasis back on the casual/super users to manage 'em (thank you, shredding program).
