Conversion to microfilm as early as possible seems to be better than going
through all of these transfers. You will be to preserve your metadata to be
able to find the right image in the future. I've gone through this a few
times.
Also, what is "good quality media". There are no standards out there, only
marketing claims. I've purchased what I thought were good quality DVD's and
found a 5% failure rate. Also experienced bad DVD burners. This is tough
work!
