Since the question and other vendors are in discussion here, let me offer up that PSS Systems provides legal holds and retention management software. The retention software, Atlas ERM, manages retention schedules, taxonomy and citations across countries/repositories. It has some pretty cool features for mapping records to repositories even in the most complex global companies. Atlas LCC is legal hold and discovery management software typically used by the litigation department to issue/release holds and related notices, conduct interviews, and issue data collection requests in response to litigation or investigation. The two products work together so the litigation department can identify records by class and organization and see which repositories they are located in, put them on hold, notify the records coordinator and so on.

The software is currently managing about 80,000 retention schedules worldwide for clients and over 100,000 legal holds on over a million employees. Companies like Citigroup, Abbott, Air Products, Merrill Lynch, Amgen, First Data, Halliburton, and others use Atlas. Please contact me off list if you want more information.

Gartner does have research on this. Check into Zasio Enterprises for Versatile, Thoroughbred Technologies has Opus. Both very good products. OmniRim, Accutrac XE, FileSurf. There's a bunch out there better than Jordan Lawrence.

Thanks for any help you can give me.
