Hi Steve,

You can do all of these things with EMC Documentum. I've worked with
Documentum for over 10 years.

Subject: ECM Solution - EDMS Product Option

Does anyone have any experience with an ECM solution in which the EDMS
will do the following:

Launch document (.tif, .pdf. .doc, etc..) in it's own viewer independent
of a native app such as Word or Excel. With the independent viewer the
administrator can set permissions based on user vs document to negate
such things as printing and emailing.

I.e. You can open a word document in, "ECM Product A" but you cannot
print, modify nor email it. You have view rights only. You may launch
the document in a native app but you must save it as a new version thus
ensuring the integrity of the original document.

We are well aware of screen scraping, print screens etc.. But we are
looking for a product that allows this type of security.

Please contact me via Email off list.

Thanks.
