My 10 cents worth - Fluff topics may be annoying, but they are harmless enough and that's what the 'delete' key is for!
As for other resources, yes, they are out there but an open forum like this has a great deal of general interest value. I'm not aware of any Webex conferences that are free and don't take up at minimum a half hour to an hour of valuable prime workday time and that will be usefull as a general 'does anybody know' forum - while we can choose to access this listserv at our convenience, for free, and for any topic. Blogs? Which ones- do you have time to search the web looking for relevant blogs and useful topics? I don't & many blogs are blocked by my employer.

I 'manage' my listserv by being signed up on my personal e-mail account and checking it once or twice a day. I wouldn't want this traffic on my work e-mail, although yes, I could set up a folder and route this listserv directly in to that folder. Another reason I send it to my personal e-mail is that I travel extensively for work and use my out-of-office frequently, and now I don't need to unsubscribe every time I set my out-of-office.
