I don't think you're being too picky.

Poor listening skills throw up a red flag for me. I can understand them
asking a second time but, in "Are you sure" type way. I would've gotten
somewhat irritated myself.

Poor writing skills, mainly spelling, is another red flag for me.

I do not like a "hard sell" person. I could never be in sales because I
can't push something on someone. Especially if they don't need or want
it and have expressed that.
