Hi Joan,
I believe what you are looking for is the following:
Employment Standards Act, R.S.B.C. 1996, c. 113, s. 28, as am. S.B.C.
1998, c. 36, s. 3; S.B.C. 2002, c. 42, s. 9
Payroll Records
Payroll records must
. . . . .
(c) be retained by the employer for 2 years after the employment
terminates.
HOWEVER........please read the entire act as it does specify certain types
of payroll records (ie: hourly wages, overtime etc) that need to be
retained for longer periods of time.
