Earl:
We use an Access database with designed access screens that allow
searches by the users. RM has additional capabilities for reports and
so forth. The database is accessed through our Intranet.

Subject: [RM] How are you managing inactive records stored offsite?

Good afternoon,

I'm wondering what programs or systems you are using to manage inactive
paper records you've transferred to off-site storage? Are you using
something off the shelf, or did you build something in-house--and if so,
using what?

We're looking to find a way to better manage physical records stored
off-site, but we're not looking for a full blown "I can do [most]
everything" RM application right now. I just want something that can
focus on records stored off-site, but that can be accessed via the
Internet (or our Intranet) so that end-users can complete lists and make
retrievals. Being user friendly would be nice too.

As usual any thoughts and ideas would be appreciated, I'd love to hear
how others are managing records stored off-site.

Thanks.
Earl
