The nice thing about webinars is that if the session turns into nothing
more than a sales pitch I hit the disconnect button. Then when the call
comes from sales staff on is there is anything they can help me with
because I showed interest by registering for the webinar I'm brutally
honest with them. I've also responded to surveys and/or made my own
follow-up contacts to companies in the same manner.
If you know going in who the sponsor is that can help as over a period of
time you know which companies/associations want to help educate and not
just gather sales leads from participates. I also go into these sessions
with the idea that if i can glean 2-3 good examples ,concepts or idea's
out of a session that I can relate to my real situation it's been worth my
time
I agree with Pilar that most of the AIIM sessions are worth the attendance
Enjoy the day
