Nolene,
I concur with Pilar McAdam and Earl Johnson, Jr. I attended two AIIM
Wednesday webinars recently. "Enterprise Report Management" was
over-my-head and very IT-specific. However, the second was educational
and grounded in records management concerns.

But I enjoyed the last AIIM Webinar on the status of the paperless
office (not yet here!). Aside from discussing internal and external
imaging systems, they also discussed regulations, legislation, and court
decisions that view electronic information as records. However, I
wished they discussed issues of records ownership, Green IT, content
reliability/security, and enterprise digital rights management (E-DRM or
ERM).

Although it was not announced ahead, Iron Mountain Digital joined
Richard Fisher of Cohasset Associates in the "Get Rid of Your Paper! Or
not." webinar. So there were a few vendors there. I still learned more
than I usually do at these webinars. Iron Mountain had an interesting
case study on how to avoid the inherent risks of physical transfer of
vital records by simply adding scanner to a vault storage.

Kind regards,
Angel Ramos
