I would say one of the most important issues with electronic records is
storage and retrieval issues now and in the future. What technology
would allow for retrieval and printing of documents that were created in
2004 and still allow for accessibility, migrating, viewing, and printing
when it's year 2015 and the document still maintains its formatting.

Hello all,

I am a current MLS student at the University of Maryland, and I'm in the
process of preparing for a presentation on the most important issues
with
electronic records today. My group has come up with our own ideas on
what
those issues might be, but none of us have experience working with
electronic records, so we're turning to you for additional input!

What would you say is the most important electronic records issue faced
by
the records management community? By the archival community? (This
might
be the same issue, or it might not--we want to know what you think!)

We're grateful for any help or input you'd like to provide.

Thanks,
Amber Forrester
