I'm trying to figure out how I would/could fit sub-elements of metadata into a Microsoft Access database. For example, if I say my security (metadata element) is _________, and the sub-element (caveat) is ++++++++++++ - do I have to use separate fields? (I would like to avoid free-text, as it is prone to spelling mistakes.)

If someone has had experience with this, I would appreciate hearing from you. I'm trying to establish logical metadata for the tools I currently use.
